Like every year, hockey players from Tanzania and neighbouring countries meet in the prestigious international tournament “Phoenix Assurance” in Tanga. This year the tournament run from the 8th to the 10th of August, with 8 male teams from Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, plus the one and so far only tanzanian lady’s team. Moshi Khalsa took home the trophy, defeating Kenya Police’s team on penalties. For the first time in history of hockey in Tanzania, also the University of Dar es Salaam Team took the field in the tournament!
