The objective of today was not to let in more than 18 goals, like the goals against Ghana. The objective was fully achieved because that ball entered our goal only 13 times. Not only that: we scored the very first goal of the history of international female field Hockey of Tanzania. Well, sort of autogoal of Kenyan team, but the ball entered in whatever way so, that does count as a goal! Our girls played very good against our neighboors from Kenya: compared to the first match were registered important improvements. They entered the fields with more trust, aware of their possibilities and their limits. They tried to pass each other the ball and make some good actions. The result after the first half of the game was 5 – 0 for Kenya and in some occasions we even entered the box of Kenya, but never managed to conclude to score. Huge is the technical and atletic preparation gap between the 2 teams but our girls really strived and we managed to get out the field satisfied. The final result of the other match Ghana – South Africa was unexpectedly 1 – 1 and the Ghana team could even win the match. So, in summary, our result of 18-0 of the previous match against Ghana is not that bad because apparently Ghana team is showing to be a very strong team.

Domani is a rest day and thursday the “hot” challenge against the gigantic South Africa. Another step to climb up. We strive to do our best. This time the objective will be not to let in more than 13 goals, let’s see if we can manage. 😀 we are climbing up our challenge steps until we’ll actually manage to win one match, right? and if we get to score a goal against South Africa we’ll just leave the field because it’ll be like winning the African Cup for us. eheheh
